This page promotes our village events. In our village are lucky to have, two pubs, a village hall and our church with annex. Our various groups and societies all use these venues for their events. We would like your suggestions: for new social events, particulary for those who live or work or attend the church in Lemsford Village, Stanborough and Cromer Hyde.

These can be Suitable for all ages, single people or families , new ideas, new people new leaders

9 am Collective Worship with St John’s School, parents and friends are welcome.Every Wednesday

10am Prayer Book, Morning Prayer - all welcome

Please Note – School Car Park available for all Sunday Services

There should not be any parking on the Brocket Hall driveway.

Saturday morning walks – 2nd Saturday of the month starting at 10.30am

These Saturday events are particularly for those from Lemsford, Stanborough and Cromer Hyde, as a social event and chance to get to know each other better.

Bluebell/History Walk Andy Chapman is leading a special walk on Saturday 3rd April. Not only will you be able to admire bluebells (nature permitting) but also learn about the history of Cromer Hyde. St John's Church Lemsford

Our main Sunday Service is at 11 am

The form of service varies but the usual monthly pattern is as follows:

1st and 5th Sundays of the month
Morning Prayer - a traditional service from the Prayer Book.

2nd and 4th Sundays and Festivals
Parish Communion - a contemporary service from 'Common Worship'.

3rd Sunday of the month
Family Service - worship for all ages (Family Service also on Mothering Sunday, at Harvest Festival, and at Christmas).

The above pattern may vary from time to time - the monthly Parish News magazine has details.

Please Note – School Car Park available for all Sunday Services

There is always tea and coffee after the service in the church annexe.

Also every Sunday:
8.00 am Holy Communion (Prayer Book) .

 

Children are always welcome in church and are a valued part of our church family. All ages join for the whole service in church once a month and on other occasions.

Sunday Club offers a learning time during the 11 am service on most Sundays in the term-time. Pre-school children may also be in the annexe during that time.

 The Choir practises every Wednesday evening from 7.15 - 8.30 pm.
Singers of any experience or none are most welcome to join or make enquiries.

Bellringers: practice evening is Monday.
