The Crawford family have farmed at Stanborough on the Salisbury estate for over 100 years. Stanboroughbury is a working, arable farm situated in 550 acres and is approx 1 mile from Welwyn Garden City and has direct links to London Kings Cross & the City. The Roman town of St Albans is 4 miles away, and Luton Airport is approximately 9 miles. We are situated just off junction 4 of the A1(M) giving excellent access to the M25 and other motorway networks.
Accommodation comprises 2 twin rooms and a single. All rooms have television, tea and coffee and washing facilities. Views across the gardens or stables. We are in walking distance of several restaurants and pubs, which all serve food. We offer continental breakfast during the week, but can be upgraded to full English breakfast by prior arrangement.
We have pleanty of off road parking next to the house.
We have two twin bedrooms and a single bedroom, all with television, tea/coffee making and washing facilities. A bath/shower room serves the bedroooms and hair dryer and ironing facilities are available on request.Guests are most welcome to use the garden, and public footpaths are easily accessible through the farm. Prices start from £70 per night for the twin rooms and £40 per night for the single room. We have our own free range chickens and we are keen to promote local business in our area.
Stanboroughbury Farm and DIY Livery stables is part of the Hatfield House Estate owned by the 7th Marquess of Salisbury and farmed by the Crawford family since the late 19th century. Wheat, barley, oil seed rape and lupins are amongst the crops which we grow, most of which go to local producers of breakfast cereal and biscuits.Stanboroughbury farm also offers DIY livery stable and grazing, with good access to woods, open countryside and bridle paths.
